A Mindful Life MD

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is simply being present and fully engaged with whatever you’re doing at the moment, without judgment.

Many of us spend large parts of our lives on autopilot.

When we are on autopilot, we’re not aware of what we are experiencing in the moment. We miss out on all the sights, sounds, and joys we could appreciate. Many of us often judge instantly and react quickly by habit. We judge ourselves critically and it creates a lot of unhappiness.

Mindfulness is open-hearted and encourages recognizing what is present in the here and now, with kindness and self-compassion and without judgment. It means to set up a welcome mat with an open heart and kindness to ourselves and others.

We all have an innate capacity to be mindful.

I invite you to explore it for yourself.
